Independent testing (MTS Lab, 2022) verified 2x sweat wicking, 2x absorbency, 3x breathability and 99.9% bacteria blocking on our mesh and self fabrics. The silver-treated mesh and flame resistant fabrics were tested to ISO 10993-5 (cytotoxicity), ISO 10993-10 (skin sensitization) and ISO 10993-23 (irritation), with no adverse response. Tested to AATCC 79, 197 and 199 and ASTM D737 (absorbency, wicking, drying, airflow) and ATCC 6538 and 4352 (bacteria).

A two month wear study with 32 providers —including OB/GYNs, dermatologists, urologists, and physical therapists—yielded the following results:

43% of Army women report a UTI or vaginal infection during field exercises or extended training, and about two-thirds of them say it interfered with their job (RAND, DoD Women’s Reproductive Health Survey). The US Air Force lists UTIs and recurring skin irritation among key challenges for women aircrew (AFWERX, 2020).
