TECHNOLOGY

Oya garments are designed with fabrics engineered for feminine health and comfort. We collaborate with medical professionals and textile engineers to refine soft, antimicrobial, and flame-resistant fabrics that are being tested by the U.S. military. Free from toxins like BPAs, PFAs, and PFOAs, every detail is made to protect your skin and enhance well-being all day.

OYA FABRICS ARE

TSCA CERTIFIED

Given Oya's commitment to safety, Oya fabrics are free from 80,000 chemicals and substances that are restricted by the US EPA because they are harmful to human health or the environment when used as intended. Many competitor fabrics and their fabric treatments are NOT certified.

AAFA CERTIFIED

Since Oya's apparel is made in the US, Oya's fabrics are free from the 233 chemicals and substances that are on the American Apparel & Footwear Association's Restricted Substance List. Most competitor products are not made in the US, so they DO NOT meet these standards.

BPA-FREE

BPA (bisphenol A) is often added to sportswear polyester fabrics to improve their natural properties. However, studies have shown that BPA is a carcinogen that can be absorbed through your skin. That is why Oya products are BPA-Free.

PFA and PFOA-FREE

PFAs (perfluoroalkyl substances) are toxic chemicals often found in water-resistant fabrics. They're harmful because they persist in the environment and can lead to various health issues, including cancer and hormone disruption. Oya is PFA-Free.

SUPPLY CHAIN PARTNERS

We work with a vertically-integrated, Los Angeles based knitting mill to produce fabric, so our fabrics meet CA's highest safety standards. We emit fewer greenhouse gases since Oya products are made domestically.

We partner with Los Angeles based pattern-makers, graders, cutters-and-sewers, printers, packers, and shippers. We treat our workers fairly and pay living wages to create the best products for your heatlh.

We partnered with four female engineers from NC State Wilson College of Textiles to invent our absorbent, ventilated, and bacteria reducing insert. Oya's inserts and moisture management system are patent pending.
